The challenge
Make the network legible.
A diplomatic network spans countries, cities and different kinds of representation. A visitor needs to understand both where a mission is and what kind of mission it is, then find the relevant information without losing that context.
The hub brings those entry points together: a geographical view for exploration and a structured directory for a more specific search.
The experience
Start with the world.
An interactive globe makes the network visible before a visitor needs to know a particular mission’s name.
Narrow the search.
Search and filters help visitors move from a broad view to a particular region or type of representation.
Keep the context.
Mission details and accreditation information keep the relationship between place and representation in view.
The connection
Where policy meets a working interface.
This is the overlap that interests me: translating an institutional network into something people can navigate. The project combines a diplomatic subject with the practical choices of search, hierarchy and interaction.
The portfolio globe shows a selected set of cities and approximate geographical distances. For mission information, explore the hub and follow the relevant official sources.
